The online workshop targets doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who aim to improve their decision-making skills.
Content
Effective decision-making empowers you to make optimal use of your resources and to achieve your goals. This course offers ways to systematically reflect on your strengths and weaknesses in decision-making processes. You will be equipped with new experiences and tools for more effective decision-making.

Objectives
Participants of this course will
- become aware of the conditions for good decision making
- have learned about and applied tools for effective decision making
- have had the opportunity to use their own real-life examples to test these tools
- have had the opportunity to expand their professional network by exchanging with peers
Methods
Prior to the course: Fill out the survey on personal interests and goals.
- exploring the decision making process
- identifying bottlenecks in decision making
- exploring and testing tools to support the decision making process. Tools eligible upon interest: the Three Worlds Model, a personality test, communication tools, decision ma-trices and the `Affect Balance`
- 'market place' to exchange further strategies and tools
Prerequisites
Laptops/PC with camera, microphone & speaker or headset.
