Die Universität Freiburg bietet unter dem Dach der Abteilung Gleichstellung, Diversität und akademische Personalentwicklung das Mentoring-Programm AdvanceMent für 38 Wissenschaftler*innen in der Postdoc-Phase sowie in der fortgeschrittenen Promotionsphase an. Ziel des Programms ist die strategische Karriereplanung sowie die individuelle überfachliche Kompetenzentwicklung für eine akademische oder außerakademische Karriere.
Das Programm richtet sich mit drei Programmlinien in zwei Sprachen an Wissenschaftler*innen aller Fakultäten und Fachrichtungen. Ein umfangreiches und spezifisches Workshop-Angebot bildet den Rahmen der 12-monatigen Teilnahme. Im Mentoring-Tandem bieten Professor*innen oder berufserfahrene Führungskräfte aus Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft exklusive Einblicke in die Strukturen der jeweiligen Institution oder Branche. Der Austausch im Mentoring-Tandem wird durch individuelle Beratung ergänzt sowie in den Programmlinien @academia und @newpathways durch die Zusammenarbeit in Peergroups.

The University of Freiburg and the Department of Equity, Diversity and Academic Personnel Development offer researchers in the postdoctoral phase and in the advanced doctoral phase the opportunity to participate in the mentoring programme AdvanceMent Freiburg. The aim of the programme is to support researchers in their strategic career planning as well as in their individual professional development for academic or non-academic careers. With three programme lines in two languages, the programme is open to researcher from all faculties and disciplines.
A customized offer of workshops sets the framework of the 12-month participation. In the mentoring tandem, advanced academics or professionally experienced managers outside academia provide unique insights into the structures of the respective institution or industry. Personal exchange in peer groups and individual career counselling complement the mentoring tandem.
Researchers interested in participating either in the @academia or @newpathways line are invited to submit their applications to the Department of Equity, Diversity and Academic Personnel Development by 28 April 2024.
