Application Training for the Non-Academic Job Market
Target group
This workshop targets doctoral & postdoctoral researchers of all disciplines.
Content
It is a long way until you might sign a contract and in any case a way full of obstacles. Basically, you have to advertise yourself and your abilities.
In this workshop you will think about yourself and what you are especially good at. Then you will get to know everything about the standards of writing a letter of application and CVs corresponding to the region you will apply for and learn how to pass the job interview successfully.

Intended results of the workshop
After taking part in this workshop you will:
- be able to apply successfully for an adequate job
- be able to write both solicited and unsolicited applications
- know the exact content of an application letter and will have started writing it
- have developed your own CV
- be able to persuade the job-interviewer by phone or in a personal conversation
- know typical questions of an interview and how to handle them

None. You have the opportunity to send your application material before the workshop for a check-up.
